Chasetown missed the chance to close the gap further when they were held to a 0-0 draw by Leek Town in midweek and will face another tough test tomorrow (April 20).
Sheffield sit seven points adrift of the Scholars, but do have a game in hand.
Rivals Sutton Coldfield Town face a testing trip to second placed King’s Lynn Town, while Halesowen visit bottom side Hucknall Town.
