HAMMERWICH produced a fine batting performance to secure victory in their final home league fixture of the season.
The hosts were sent in to bat first by Brewood, but looked to be in trouble early on as they lost Tom Wright and Imran Qadir to leave them on 11-2.
When Andy Malin followed to leave them on 43-3 it looked like it might be a challenging afternoon for the Hammers.
But a superb 116 from Scott Elstone and a knock of 86 from Callum Brodrick pushed the scoreboard to 268-5.
Ashton Quinn became the last wicket to fall as the hosts closed their innings on 277-6.
Brewood's hopes of reaching the target struggled early on as they reached 95-5 by the midway stage of their response.
Parminder Singh made 55, but ran out of partners by the time he was the final wicket to fall as his side were skittled out for 191.
Quinn was the star of the show with the ball for Hammerwich with figures of 4-55, while Haider Pervaiz also chipped in with three wickets.
The result sees Hammerwich climb into the top half going into their final game of the campaign at league leaders Fordhouses.
