There was late heartbreak for Chasetown FC as they conceded three goals for the third game in succession to lose out to Loughborough Dynamo.
Things looked bright when the Scholars shocked their high-flying hosts to open the scoring after 18 minutes when left back Jonathan Haynes curled a right-footed shot beyond James Lindley.
But second placed Dynamo rallied and levelled when a well-worked move resulted in Brad Munn sending his effort past John Bateman.
An even contest was played at a good pace with Chasetown distinctly better than they were in their weekend defeat to Carlton. They were quick to the ball to press the Loughborough back four into conceding possession and chances at goal.
Lee Parsons was inches wide of the post at the start of the second half with a low shot, before the Scholars deservedly took the lead in the 54th minute when Nick Wellecomme drilled the ball home.
But the hosts levelled again when Loughborough broke down the right and the ball was cut back by captain Steve Towers into the path of Nathan Watson who side-footed home.
Chasetown had chances to win the game themselves but were also grateful to Bateman in goal after he turned an effort onto his post.
A draw would have been the fairest result but deep into a prolonged period of stoppage time, Watson netted a winner after a goalmouth scramble.
