Chasetown FC’s league campaign kicks-off today with a home clash against Gresley.
The Scholars will be hoping for a strong start to the season in a bid to make a push for the upper reaches of the table.
Craig Harris will have taken plenty of positives from his side’s pre-season campaign, which has seen them beaten just three times in eight outings.
Chasetown fans will be hoping new striker Nathan Waite can continue his bright start to life in blue which has seen him net his fourth goal of pre-season in the Scholars’ final outing against Barwell.
But their opponents today (August 16), Gresley, have also enjoyed a positive pre-season with five wins from seven encounters.
The visitors have also strengthened their ranks during pre-season, with signings including former Bolton Wanderers keeper Tom Turner.
