A leading local chef has promised the 2015 Lichfield Food Festival will cook up a treat later this month.
A number of free demonstrations will take place as part of the event on August 29 and 30.
The Lichfield Garrick will host a number of these, with visitors getting the chance to see leading culinary talents in action.
Chef Simon Smith, said: “It’s great to be back for our fourth festival, and this year we’re introducing some brilliant cookery displays by regional and local talents.
“From cupcake decorating to top selling dishes from fine dining restaurants, the demonstrations will give you plenty of ideas.”
The sessions on August 29 are:
- 11am – Julie Crisp, Cakeydora Baking Academy
- 12noon – Simon Smith, private caterer
1pm – Litton, South East Chef of the Year, Delhi 6, Sutton Coldfield
2pm – Steve Small, Head Chef, The Wine House & Trooper at Wall
3pm – Adam Frosh, The Surgeon in the Kitchen
The demonstrations on August 30 are:
- 12noon – Matt Warburton, Head Chef, New Hall
- 1pm – Darren Curson, Executive Chef at The Fairlawns Hotel in Aldridge
- 2pm – Paul Bough, Zwilling J A Henckels
3pm – The Baking Housewife
Sessions will also take place at The Kitchen Shop and Lichfield Cathedral.
