Classical Brit Award-winning violinist Jack Liebeck is returning to Lichfield Cathdedral.
He will be playing Beethoven’s Violin Concerto with the city’s own Darwin Ensemble Chamber Orchestra (DECO) on October 19.
A spokesperson said: “International sensation Jack Liebeck’s first performance with DECO in October 2011 drew high praise and his return visit promises just as much sparkle and excitement.
“Beethoven’s uplifting and serenely lyrical Violin Concerto will be the perfect showcase for Liebeck’s dazzling virtuosity and exquisite musicianship in the wonderful surroundings of Lichfield Cathedral.
“DECO will also perform Mozart’s Symphony No. 39 – one of the great composer’s final three symphonies, and a work surrounded by almost as much mystery as the legendary Requiem.”
Tickets for the 7.30pm performance – which start at £12 adults, £10 concessions and £5 children – are available by calling call 01543 306150 or emailing shop@lichfield-cathedral.org.
