People are being asked to have their say on a plan to charge developers a fee to help fund local infrastructure.
The Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) will go towards a range of projects, including health, education, leisure or transport facilities.
Richard King, Strategic Director of Democratic, Development and Legal Services for Lichfield District Council, said: “It’s really important that we set the levy rate at the right amount.
“If it is too high, the levy could limit investment in the district. However, setting it too low might not deliver the infrastructure needed locally.
“In putting together these proposed charges, we’ve used feedback from a public consultation we held last year and from evidence outlined in a viability report we commissioned. We now need to know if local people and businesses agree with the proposed amounts.”
