Burntwood could get its own food festival in future.
Councillors have been discussing a range of options for new events to promote the area.
Among the items being explored by Burntwood Town Council’s events committee is a food festival.
The idea was originally floated during a meeting last month, but will be discussed further at the next gathering of the committee on November 13.
Labour Councillor Darren Ennis said the idea of a food festival at Burntwood Leisure Centre was still at a very early stage.
“We were asked to come up with some ideas of different events to run around Burntwood and the food festival was one of them.
“At the moment it is still in the very early days of investigation with only initial enquiries carried out.”
Other ideas put forward include an outdoor film screening event.
