Dean Price’s seven wicket haul helps Lichfield CC return to winning ways

Lichfield returned to winning ways in the Premier Division of the Staffordshire Club Cricket Championship with an eight wicket triumph over Cannock and Rugeley.

Dean Price was the hero with the ball as he claimed seven wickets for just 24 runs as the hosts were skittled out for 131.

Lichfield’s batsmen made the total with ease as they lost just two wickets before securing the win in just 24.2 overs.

A winning draw against Wednesbury ensured Hawkins remain top of the table, but Hammerwich remain hot on their heels in second spot after a draw at Aldridge.

Old Wulfrunians secured a much needed winning draw over Whittington, while Swindon also bagged a winning draw against Beacon.
