Digital TV switchover help still available for Lichfield and Burntwood residents

Published:

Older and disabled people living in Lichfield and Burntwood are being reminded that they can still get help during the switchover to digital TV.

The Sutton Coldfield transmitter is set to have its analogue signal switched off during September and a help service is being provided for residents who have still to make the move to digital services.

The Switchover Help Scheme has already written to eligible residents, but is reminding those that opted out that they can still take up the offer of help.

Most people will be asked to pay £40 towards the standard option of help, but those who are also on pension credit, income support, income-based jobseeker’s allowance or income-related employment and support allowance will be given the service for free.
