Two older residents of a zoo near Lichfield have celebrated their 50th birthdays.
Toto, a male chimpanzee who has lived at Drayton Manor Theme Park for 47 years, and Toby, a Lar Gibbon, were treated to cakes and presents by staff.
Zoo manager Joyce Roberts said: “We had a fabulous time celebrating the animals’ 50th birthdays, no more so than Toto and Toby themselves.
“It is so important that all the animals here at the zoo are happy and healthy and all our staff go above and beyond to ensure this happens. This was certainly a birthday to remember and we hope to celebrate more 50th birthdays in years to come.”
