Drivers looking for car parking spaces in Lichfield are being warned of maintenance work being carried out to the city’s multi-storey site.
Lichfield District Council have announced that they will be carrying out essential work next week.
To ensure minimal disruption to residents and visitors the maintenance team are closing off small sections at a time, so that the majority of the car park can remain open.
The first phase of work will be completed on August 28, in time for the Bank Holiday weekend. The second phase will start on August 31.
Councillor Louise Flowith, Cabinet Member for Operational Services, said:
“These works have been carefully planned to ensure the minimum amount of disruption. However, should the Multi Storey fill up, there are nearby car parks that you can use. These include the extended Lichfield University campus car park just off the Swan Road/The Friary roundabout and Friary Outer car park on The Friary.”
