A Lichfield dog owner has received an early Christmas present after being reunited with her pet pooch.
Luckily for owner Janine Vigus, a member of the public handed Sara the chihuahua in to Lichfield District Council’s dog warden Eddie Pearson who was able to reunite the pair.
Eddie explained:
“It was easy to track down Sara’s owner because she has a collar with a name tag and is also micro-chipped. Janine was pleased to get her dog back, and I was happy to help.”
It turned out Sara had escaped through a gap in a hedge, while being looked after by Janine’s grandmother Sheila Marson.
