The organisation was given the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

Barbara Ann Marshall, from Embroidery for Burntwood, said: “As founder and leader of the group, I am delighted that we have been given this Award.

“It is a wonderful reward for all of my volunteer members in recognition of the high level of work produced over the last 14 years.

“It is also a big thank you for Burntwood Town Council which has given unwavering support to the group in the provision of exceptional art work for our Community.”
