Lichfield twitchers are being given the chance to listen to birdsong in the early hours of the morning in the company of an expert.
Local bird expert Rob Russon is inviting people to join him on a Dawn Chorus event at Christian Fields on May 22 from 4am to 6am.
Chris Walsh, Biodiversity Officer for Lichfield District Council, said:
“The early hours of the morning are the best time to hear birdsong, but most of us are tucked up in bed and miss this wonderful experience. We’d recommend dressing up warm and bringing along a pair of binoculars to make sure you see plenty of birds.”
