The family of a Lichfield schoolboy have spoken of their “devastation” following his death.
Solomon Morris died on 16th November, aged 14.
On a fundraising page set up to help pay for the funeral of The Friary School student, his family said they were struggling to come to terms with their loss.
A statement said: “The youngest son of the family, Solly, tragically took his own life after having battled an extended period of with deteriorating mental health.
“Solly was taken too soon due to an accumulation of reasons that are, as of yet, pretty much unknown to all of us.
“It goes without saying that the devastation and grief has stricken our family and it is currently extremely difficult to comprehend how we can carry on living our normal lives.”

Around £3,000 has already been raised to help pay for the teenager’s funeral after donations from members of the public.
The family added: “We want nothing more than to give him the amazing send off he deserves.
“Solly was a bright, cheeky, talented young man who will unfortunately never realise how many lives he touched in his short time here.
“Any money raised that is not used to contribute towards the funeral will be donated to a children’s mental health charity.
“We want to thank everyone for the overwhelming support we have received.
“While we wish Solly was here, we are absolutely sure he’s smiling down on us now.”
