Former Aston Villa midfielder Lee Hendrie has signed for Chasetown FC.
The one-time England international made his debut in last night’s 1-1 draw against Matlock Town.
Since leaving Villa Park, Hendrie has had spells at a number of Football League clubs.
However, he has made headlines more recently for matters off the field after being declared bankrupt.
Another new – but familiar – face appeared at the Scholars Ground last night too, with goalkeeper Lee Evans returning to the side after a spell at Stafford Rangers.
