A NEW show created by a former nurse is coming to Lichfield.
Kevin, King of Egypt is the the latest work by Rob Gee, creator of hit shows Forget-Me-Not and Awol.
It tells the story of an escaped mental health patient who is upset to find out about his diagnosis and the fact his is not the reincarnation of a pharoah. On route to Egypt, he meets his nemesis – a lost child – before the pair embark on a journey that will change both their lives forever.
Rob, who worked as a nurse in mental health settings around the UK and Australia before becoming a writer and performer, said:
“The simple act of sharing a joke with someone can be tremendously therapeutic. Above all, laughter can remind us that we’re not alone.”
The show comes to The Hub at St Mary’s on 30th January. Tickets are £15 and can be booked at thehubstmarys.co.uk.
The venue’s creative director Anthony Evans said:
