A Lichfield museum is offering a free event to keep youngsters entertained during Easter.

From April 2 to 18, the Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum will be hosting Sam’s Easter Adventure which will give visitors the chance join the hunt for characters throughout the house in a fact-packed puzzle trail. Guests will also be able to enter a competition to design an Easter cake for the chance to win a Fair Trade Easter Egg and Goody Bag.

Joanne Wilson from the Birthplace Museum said:

“We had a huge number of entries for last year’s Easter Egg competition and were very impressed by how imaginative all our visitors were over the holidays! We’ve changed the format this year and are looking forward to seeing some fantastic Easter cakes.”

As well as the Easter trail, there are dressing up activities and interactive displays. Admission to the Museum and entrance to the competition are free, and a small donation of £1 applies for an Easter trail pack including a pencil and sticker.
