Firefighters are raising money for charity in Lichfield.
The crews will be collecting donations and selling children’s fire helmets in aid of the Fire Fighters Charity until 4pm today (August 24) outside the Boots store in Lichfield city centre.
Sharron Finch, who has organised the event, said: “Raising money for the charity is my way of giving something back following support I received from them recently.
“The plastic helmets are always a hit with the children, so we thought we’d sell them in the city centre to raise much needed funds for the charity. So we expect shoppers will see several mini firefighters sporting their new helmets in the city centre.”
