Gritting teams are continuing to work around the clock as winter weather sweeps across Lichfield and Burntwood.
Crews were out all night and during the morning to tackle ice and snow on roads across the region.

County Councillor Helen Fisher, Cabinet support member for highways and transport said: “The snow hasn’t been too severe, but parts of the region have been affected.
“Our gritting teams have been working hard throughout the night and are continuing this morning and have done a tremendous job. All major roads are open and people should be able to get about as usual, but we always say to drive to the road conditions, be careful and allow more time for your journeys.
“More snow is forecast throughout today and over the weekend, so our gritting teams will be monitoring the weather and rolling out as and when they are needed.”
