HAMMERWICH suffered a narrow home defeat against Tamworth 2nds.
After being sent in to bat first, the hosts lost the early wicket of Imran Qadir before Callum Brodrick followed him back to the pavilion to leave the scoreboard reading 34-2.
Opener Tom Wright was next to go after he was caught on 23, with Scott Elstone's knock of 20 also halted to leave the Hammers on 73-4.
Just six more runs were added before another two wickets fell, but Ryan Elliott's 20 helped Hammerwich eventually reach 127 before being bowled out.
Tamworth saw their response get off to a shaky start as Haider Pervaiz removed openers Seyaam Khan and Jack Smith with just eight runs on the board.
The wickets continued to come at regular intervals, but an unbeaten 59 from Kieran Wordsworth handed victory to the visitors as they passed the total with two batsmen to spare.
