Armed police were called to a house in Lichfield after a hoax call.
Officers went to an address in Stychbrook Gardens yesterday morning (February 10) after reports a man was being threatened with a gun.
A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: “As a result of the information received armed officers were deployed to the scene.
“However, our inquiries quickly established this was a hoax call.
“Efforts are being made to establish the identity of, and trace, the hoax caller.”
