The screenings of Pretty Woman and Bohemian Rhapsody have been staged at Chasetown FC’s home The Scholars Ground.

Organisers say around 1,000 people in total turned up for the events.

A club spokesperson said: “There was an incredible atmosphere on both nights.”

One of those who attended was Mandy Arthur from Burntwood. She said: “I have attended all of these films to date.

“It’s great for the community as well as the club. I like the family atmosphere. More of the these events could be offered.”

Two more such events are in fact already in the diary – Dirty Dancing comes to the big screen on 25th July with Mamma Mia the following day.
