The amended Local Plan for Lichfield and Burntwood has been given the green light by the Planning Inspector.
Bob Yuille’s final report into Lichfield District Council’s future plans for the next 15 years has now been published after changes were made to the number of new housing sites required.
The Local Plan also sets out the strategy for employment, retail, health, recreation and environment for the coming decade.
Councillor Ian Pritchard, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Economic Growth & Development, said: “A report will be presented to Cabinet on February 3 and then Full Council on February 17, recommending the adoption of the Local Plan Strategy with the necessary modifications.“This has been a long and complicated process, but this is good news for the district as the plan will provide greater certainty for all involved. It will now set a clear local framework for determining where developments can go.”
