TV presenter Jonathan Ross has insisted he’s “ready” to take on an Ironman challenge in Burntwood.
Ramsay had already booked his place at the event, while presenter Ross has said on Twitter that he will be taking part in support of the Gordon Ramsay Foundation.
When asked on social media whether he was in training, funnyman Ross quipped: “I’m not going to train – I’m ready!”
The Ironman race is expected to draw thousands to the region to compete and watch the action.
County councillor Mark Winnington added: “The event is a huge opportunity to showcase our wonderful county and will be fantastic for tourism, the local economy and residents.
“I am delighted that Gordon Ramsay and Jonathan Ross will be joining us for what I am sure will be a great event for competitors, residents and visitors to enjoy.”
