LICHFIELD karting star Finlay Lines enjoyed another strong race weekend as he strengthened his title challenge in Belgium.
The BNL Karting Series Championship saw the city youngster enjoy success on both days of the event at Karting des Fagnes.
He began strongly to secure fourth spot in qualifying before taking second in the qualifying heat.
His momentum continued into the pre-final where he again finished second – and then took a third-place spot and valuable championship points.
The second day saw more success for Lines as he qualified third and took second in the qualifying heat.
A tougher race followed in the pre-final, with the Lichfield racer crossing the line seventh to provide a challenging grid slot for the final.
But despite this, Lines showed his race-craft to steer his way to a second place finish and earn an overall second place for the weekend and keep him firmly in contention for the title.
