People living in Lichfield and Burntwood are being asked to have their say on how waste is dealt with in the future.
A consultation is taking place across Staffordshire to help decide how rubbish and recycling will be handled until 2020.
Lichfield District Council is one of ten local authorities across Staffordshire which work together to manage the waste collected from local homes and businesses as part of the Staffordshire Waste Partnership.
Many of the targets in the original strategy, first written in 2007, are already well on the way to being met so a new plan is being drawn up.
Councillor Mike Wilcox, Leader of Lichfield District Council, said: “As this strategy goes across the county, and will affect our district, it’s really important that local views are fed into this consultation.
“This is why we’re hoping plenty of people will go online and give their feedback on this important strategy.”
