People who are eligible to vote in Lichfield and Burntwood are being asked to check their details are correct.
Lichfield District Council is sending out a form to each home in the area to confirm who lives there and whether they can take part in any future ballots.
Diane Tilley, Electoral Registration Officer for Lichfield District Council, said: “It’s important that you respond to your household enquiry form when you receive it.
“Please remember that responding to it is not the same as registering to vote and, if anyone is not registered at your household, they will need to register individually.
“All of this information is available on the form, so simply follow the steps to make sure you secure your vote.”
Households can add additional details or confirm there are no changes to the form online.
