Chief Constable Jane Sawyers said: “This is a vital role and I am keen to get the communities we serve involved in the recruitment process.

“I’m sure the candidates will find the evening a challenging but interesting experience and I think it’s vital they hear from the communities they want to serve and for representatives of our communities to give me their insights about each candidate.”

Places will be limited, but those interested in taking part can apply online.
