People of all ages and backgrounds from across Lichfield and Burntwood are being encouraged to attend an event that will help shape how local care and health services are delivered.
The event on Tuesday (January 26) starts at 9.30am and finishes at 4.30pm and will be held at the Yarnfield Conference Centre near Stone. It has been set up to help move LINks (Local Involvement Networks) forward in a positive direction.
This comes as a result of the termination of the contract for the running of LINks to help it re-structure and gain new momentum while re-tendering for an independent provider.
County Councillor Matthew Ellis, Cabinet Member for Adults and Wellbeing said:
“I really hope that people of all ages will see this as an opportunity to make a real difference in the community. This is a chance to make a positive change in Staffordshire. With a new start and new opportunities for LINks, this can be a real success.
“It’s important that we draw a line under the previous LINk and work hard to get this right now for the longer term and I hope to see as many people as possible at Yarnfield on the 26th to help build a strong and effective LINks.”
Voluntary organisations and other community sector organisations are also encouraged to come along and find out about the role they can play in LINks.
