People in Lichfield and Burntwood are being urged to take extra care after firefighters confirmed a new walkout.
The latest industrial action will run from 24 hours from 7am on February 25.
Staffordshire’s Chief Fire Officer Peter Dartford, also President of the Chief Fire Officers Association, said: “We would once again urge residents to be particularly cautious while at home and on the roads during next week’s strike.
“As always, contingency plans will be put in place and we will answer all 999 calls. We will attend life threatening incidents but it will not be business as usual for us.
“The number of incidents has decreased during all of the previous periods of industrial action which is in no small way due to the vigilance of our communities. Residents can continue to assist us by taking some simple steps such as testing your smoke alarms, running through your escape plan and making sure you get into the routine of turning electrical items off and shutting doors before going to bed.”
