THERE was disappointment for Lichfield as they fell to a seven wicket home defeat against Rugeley.
After opting to bat first, the city side lost opener Adam Braddock to the first ball of the day when he was bowled by Will Hinder.

Ihsaan Nadeem hit 30 as he tried to rally Lichfield, but when he was trapped lbw by Mohammed Adall the score was just 69-4 – and worse was to come as two more quick wickets fell without the score being added to.
A late rally by Edward Turner and Liam Orgill with 11 and 24 respectively saw the innings end on 124.
Rugeley never looked like failing to reach the target as they lost just three wickets in their pursuit, wrapping up the run chase in 31 overs.
