ORGANISERS have confirmed a major change for the 2025 Lichfield Bower.
The event on 26th May will see Beacon Park free to enter.
Previous years have seen wristbands sold to limit access to some attractions.
But the organisers have now confirmed the change for 2025.
A spokesperson said:
“We feel that with the current cost of living crisis this is the right thing to do.
“We have increased our fundraising efforts over the last 12 months and with the support of local businesses, charitable donations and various grants available to us we’ve raised enough money to make this happen.
“However for the park to continue to be free each year we need support. If you run a local business that benefits from the tens of thousands of people the Bower brings into the city please consider a small donation to us.
“We would also like to engage with the community more and encourage you all to get involved with our various fundraising events that we run – and if you see a Bower collection tin please throw in your loose change.
“It really does make a difference.”
