A volunteer at the Lichfield Cathedral Book Shop has won an award for his volunteering.
Twenty-year-old Nick Lowe has volunteered at the Cathedral since May 2009 and has clocked up more than 130 hours of voluntary work, assisting in the shop to help raise vital funds for the building’s upkeep.
And his hard work has paid off after the National Youth Volunteering Charity gave him a V Award.
Ann Waller, the Cathedral Shop manager, said:
“We are really pleased that Nick has obtained this award and he is a real asset to the team here.”
