A fundraising Christmas fayre in Lichfield is set to raise money for three good causes.
Saxon Hill School’s community cafe, blood cancer charity Anthony Nolan and Live Life then Give Life will all benefit from the event on November 26.
The fayre will feature two real reindeer, a Santa’s Grotto, Christmas stalls and a raffle with prizes donated by local companies.
The event is the brainchild of Lichfield resident Rachel Prosser who is currently on the waiting list for a lung transplant.
She said: “Raising awareness of the charties is just as important as raising money, so on the day we are going to get as many people as possible to sign up to the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Register and also the Organ Donation Register.”
Lichfield MP Michael Fabricant is also expected to attend the fundraising event, which takes place at Saxon Hill School on Kings Hill Road from 1pm to 5pm. Entry is £1 adults, children free.
