Lichfield City FC are preparing to face familiar opposition at Brownsfield Park.
Paul Holt’s men will take on Midland Combination Premier Division high-fliers Brocton for the third time in a month.
And after narrowly losing out in extra time in the FA Vase and then succumbing to a 2-1 league defeat at Brocton, City will be desperate to make it third time lucky.
They warmed up for the encounter tomorrow (September 28) in style, though, having thumped Castle Vale JKS 4-0 last time out.
And they will need to maintain their attacking threat as they take on a Brocton side who have conceded just six goals so far in the league – while also shutting out their forward options who have netted 24 times in six games.
But a win for Lichfield could see them join the pack of sides setting the early season pace.
Holt’s men currently lie eight in the table on 15 points – with leading duo Bolehall Swifts and Southam United only four points ahead.
Kick-off at Brownsfield Park tomorrow is at 3pm.
