Lichfield City FC will be desperate to put their Staffordshire Vase disappointment behind them when they return to league action this weekend.
Paul Holt’s men missed out on a final spot after a loss at AFC Hanley Town, but can’t afford to lick their wounds for too long as they bid to secure a top half finish in the Premier Division of the Midland Football Combination.
They have the perfect opportunity to bounce back immediately on Saturday (March 15) when they travel to bottom side Pilkington XXX.
Victory could see Lichfield climb to ninth in the table and move them within striking distance of the top eight.
Kick-off at the TSA Sports Ground in Kings Norton on Saturday is at 3pm.
