Lichfield City FC made it six games without defeat after brushing aside Atherstone Town.
Mark Rose went close early on as Gary Birch’s men came out of the blocks quickly.
The hosts didn’t heed the warning though and the Lichfield striker finally found the net after 29 minutes.
City had plenty of chances to extend the lead in the opening period but will have been disappointed not to have added to their tally.
The second half saw Atherstone make changes and the game began to open up.
But Lee Osborne finally added the decisive second goal with 20 minutes remaining, before sewing up the points with his second ten minutes from the end.
Lichfield could climb to eighth in the Midland Football League Division One if they can collect all three points at Uttoxeter Town tomorrow (December 2).
