Lichfield City FC finally made their mark on the Midland Combination Premier Division with a victory over Pershore Town.
Russell Dodd’s side had suffered two defeats in their opening top flight games, but found their feet with a 2-1 home win.
Alex Gough and Mark Rose found the net for the hosts to cancel out Dane Aldington’s strike for Pershore.
They will face familiar opposition next time out as they make the journey to fellow promoted side Bromsgrove Sporting on Saturday (August 18).
