Russell Dodd’s men will be hoping to make their mark in the higher division and match the club’s growth off the pitch.

The City boss has overhauled his squad during the summer, bringing in the likes of prolific Blackwood striker Jacob Snape.

A number of home-grown youth players have also stepped up to the senior squads, but Dodd’s blend of youth and experience will be put to the test when they travel to Nuneaton Griff on Saturday (August 4), before entertaining Bloxwich United on Tuesday evening.

They go into the game on the back of a confidence-boosting 3-3 draw against Romulus.

A frantic first half saw Lichfield take a 3-2 lead after being two goals down. They were only denied the victory by a second half strike.

Kick-off at Nuneaton Griff is 3pm, while the home tie with Bloxwich kicks off at 7.45pm.
