Employees from a Lichfield company are taking part in a litter pick to help improve local play areas.
Four volunteers from city-based Computershare Voucher Services (CVS) will spruce up play areas at Hay End Lane and Worthington Road/Barlow Drive in Fradley.
The litter-pick tomorrow (July 29) is part of the company’s bid to become a greener employer.
Julian Foster, Managing Director of CVS, said:
“This is the latest in a number of sustainability initiatives that we’ve introduced to get our employees thinking about the environment, both in work and in their local community. Other projects have included power saving in the office by turning off lights and laptops, recycling bins in all kitchens and most recently the PaperLess Challenge to make employees print less and email more.”
Harry Warburton, Chairman of Fradley and Streethay Parish Council, added:
“This is a very community-spirited action from all involved at Computershare Voucher Services and the Parish Council wholeheartedly supports any initiatives to improve the local area.”
