A Lichfield county councillor has paid tribute after two former colleagues were recognised for their public service.

Recently-retired Frank Lewis MBE and Erica Bayliss have been granted the title of Honorary Aldermen of the County.

Cllr Alan White said the accolade was fully deserved.

“The title of Honorary Alderman is a small token of our gratitude to people who given themselves to the service of the community over many years,” he said. “I was delighted to be present at the ceremony.”
