Two new neighbourhood plans have been approved by Lichfield District Council.
The proposals from Whittington and Fisherwick Parish Council and Lichfield City Council were given the green light at a meeting of the local authority this week.
The Lichfield City neighbourhood plan was backed by 57% of people in a local referendum, while the Whittington and Fisherwick proposal was backed by 90% of those who voted in that area.
The two documents will now be incorporated into Lichfield District Council’s Local Plan to help shape the future of planning applications.
