Lichfield racer Adam Christodoulou rounded of the Le Man Series season in style with a podium finish.
Racing alongside team-mates Klaas Hummel and Phil Quaife in the CRS Racing car at Estoril, the team finally saw lady luck shine on them after a frustrating season.
In qualifying, Quaife secured a third place grid position, but it would be Hummel who took the wheel for the first stint of the six hour marathon drive, before handing back to the qualifying driver. Christodoulou then took to the wheel before handing back to Quaife.
But it was the Lichfield man who had the honour of taking the car over the line in second place.
“That result has been a long time coming,” said Christodoulou. “We should have got a podium at Ricard, then at Spa and then at Silverstone but everything that could happen did happen. But we finally had a race that went to plan.
“It’s a great result for the team and the best way to finish off the season.”
