LICHFIELD'S Finlay Lines added another podium finish to his collection in the British Kart Championships.
The city racer was one of 56 drivers taking part in the Junior Rotax Class, but he set his stall out early with strong pace from the outset.
Lines landed overall pole in qualifying with an exceptional lap before dominating through the heats with a string of victories, including in the super heat.
The final saw him start on pole as a result – and the two front-runners immediately left the pack to engage in a running battle for the front, trading places throughout the race.
It looked like Lines would secure the win after hitting the front with a lap and a half to go, but the final circuit saw contact slip him back to third.
But the Lichfield youngster managed to regain his composure and fight back to secure second at the finish.
