People will be able to find out more about fungus at an event in Lichfield.
The Fungus Foray is taking place at Muckley Corner on September 11, from 10.30am to 1pm.
Lichfield District Council’s countryside team, in partnership with Staffordshire Fungus Group, is inviting people with an interest in wildlife to go along.
Justine Lloyd, Lichfield District Council’s Countryside Officer, said:
“This is the perfect time of year to see a wide variety of fungi. We’ve spotted some fascinating specimens in the past at Muckley Corner, so join us for this interesting foray. Please wear sturdy shoes and bring a waterproof – just in case.”
The walk will set off from the top end of Muckley Corner where Boat Lane and Watling Street meet. The event costs £2 and can be booked by calling Chris Walsh on 07803 832375.
