A breastfeeding support group have been boosted by a donation from Lichfield Ladies Circle.
The cheque was handed over to the Four Oaks Milk Bar, which helps support for mums in the area.
Spokesperson Ashley Atterbury said: “We are extremely grateful for the kind donation.
“We have been working alongside Four Oaks Children’s Centre with the aim of setting up a breast pump loan system to benefit women within Sutton Coldfield and the surrounding areas. This donation will allow us to purchase the first pump and will go a long way towards supporting local women in need, to establish and continue breastfeeding for as long as they want to.”
Lichfield Ladies Chair Sue Kershaw added: “As a group of ladies aged between 18 and 45, we watch some of our close friends enter parenthood and it is local groups such as the Four Oaks Milk Bar that serve our community and help new mums gain confidence and make new friends.”
