A Lichfield man has been prosecuted for repeatedly playing his music too loudly.
Conner Jones pleaded guilty to a breach of an abatement notice, issued by Lichfield District Council.
The 20-year-old, of Partridge Croft, was ordered to pay costs of £300 and given a conditional discharge of three years.
The council started court proceedings after Jones repeatedly played loud music, despite being warned to keep the noise down, and then being issued with an abatement notice.
The local authority acted following further complaints from a neighbour about loud music and raised voices.
Cllr Colin Greatorex said: “We’re pleased the court took this case seriously and hope that it will encourage everyone to be considerate neighbours.”
