A Lichfield museum is set for a floral makeover.

Erasmus Darwin House will host its second flower festival from July 9 to 17, during which time each room will be decorated by a different local flower guild.

A fundraising effort has helped purchase the plants used across the museum.

Alison Wallis, manager of the museum, said:

“This is a really unique way to use the House and, although the usual exhibition will not be accessible, I think all visitors to the festival will find something to enjoy and we are all especially excited to revisit what was a very successful event back in 2008.”

Admission to the museum during the flower festival is £5 (£4 concessions and £2.50 children). For more information call 01543 306260 or email enquiries@erasmusdarwin.org.
